LIFE: The “Nursery” - A year later
Last year I wrote about our Little Man, our small space and our complete lack of desire to move. Here’s how things have fared a year later.
We just celebrated the Little Man’s 1st birthday (a Wild One à la Wild Things...get it?!) I still can’t believe he’s a whole finger old now! And I’m sure some of you are wondering if my ambious ideas of living small and simple were a reality? Well, druuuuummmm rolllllll....they absolutely were!
A year later I’m here to say that not only is living in 508sq/ft with a baby daddy, a baby and a dog feasible but still very much our reality. In fact looking back on things, our minimalist approach could have been even more minimal. There were loads of things that we didn’t touch. They moved on to a new home in virtually new condition. Our space and our plan served and continues to serve its purpose well. We “edit” often, although admittedly the storage room does seem a bit more chaotic now. That oh sooo awkwardly shaped infant car seat and the gotta keep baby clothes need a place to live until the next Minion arrives.... (no everyone, not yet).
All-in-all this space is still well suited for us. I’d be lying if I said I don’t think about our next move and how and when that will play out. As he grows and toddles it poses new challenges, but we adapt, we reassess, we figure it out. It will be a bit sad when the time comes to go, he was in fact born here. But right now that’s not on the horizon instead we'll focus on preventing our Little Man from riding his #BoxerBro off into the night....
